i have seen LP live only the once but I couldnt really hear Joe's parts in the songs? However i have heard live mp3s on the net and they seem to be a little louder. For example when the band played their third song (somewhere I belong) Joes intro bit was really quiet and maybe a little different. Is this me being parnoid? :wth: This was when LP first started touring this year before Meteora was released, so iam just wondering if anyone has the same experiance as me? I think it was because the sound system was rubbish?? What do you guys (and gals) think?
Turntables don't have the same sound live and in the studio, you can't mix live. But for the samples I downloaded some songs and it sounds good .
Joe can't nail the same exact scratches as he did in the studio. They're almost always going to sound different. The atmosphere distorts the sound of the scratching and things like that. Actually I have no idea.
Actually, you're right. The only show i can think of (off the top of my head) when joe hit most scratches on time was 2001's Rock Am Ring Festival. Which was an open air show and was recorded for television. The output volume from mount hahn was probably increased for TV by the sound guys to make the scratches/samples audible.
Yes. you have a point that in live concerts that Joe Hahn's scratching is extremely hard to hear. But, it's possible that you might be hearing the scratching but you just can't notice it. That happens most of the time.

Thats true, like when they play Faint he adds this wierd noise that goes along with the beat during the chorus, it sounds like a muffled, small explosion or crash or something but he hits it with the beat, its pretty cool
[/b][/quote] Yes, you're right! I agree - The songs sound always different live and recorded- and that's because of Joe's scratches
