In the song papercut in 1st verse when mike says "a face that awakes when i close my eyes" and in 2nd verse according to the lyric book from the album mike is supposed to say "a face that awakes when they close their eyes" but repeats what he said in the 1st verse. I dont think im the only one who has noticed this. I could be wrong, but i think i am right. Have any of you realized this though?
hmm, little mistake, either on the writing of the singing, but it doesnt matter, i still love them all the same. xXx
A lot of the times lyric booklets are written and published before a record is actually finished. Sometimes bands can make small changes to songs before they are on the cd, thus creating errors in the lyric booklet from time to time. Crawling's lyrics are also slightly off in HT if you look closely. Even Meteora has the same problem. Hit The Floor's lyrics are a little different then the final and so is another song. It's just something that happens.
I think it's something devious. I think that Mike was really supposed to rap "a face that awakes when they close their eyes," but every time he got to that part, he rapped "a face that awakes when I close my eyes." I think that, after a certain period of doing this over and over, they decided to just do that, because Mike couldn't get it right. Rapping "a face that awakes when they close their eyes" would make much more sense given the context surrounding the line, as the whole verse is about the other person instead of yourself. (I hope I said that right.) That's just what I think it is. :chemist:
Yes, that's been bugging me for awhile. Probably what happened is they finally gave up on Mike messing up and just recorded that. Either that or what it could be doing is giving you more thought into the mind of a paranoid person and how messed up their train of thought is.
I'm not trying to act like an admin or anything, and I'm not telling them to do their job, but please don't post one word things like that.

[/b][/quote] Not to sound rude or anything, but Neil, just take a look around--it's been happening a lot. It's like some sort of apparent 'fad' to do the "one-word-post" :chemist:.
Oh I know, just they seem to be cracking down on it alot more lately and I was just warning him so he didnt get banned. Thats all
i hope i didnt dissapoint you guys anyway feel free to close the topic...there is no need for talking about it anymore....its not like its gonna change anything. -melvin
