I was listening to the In The End track from LPU7 and I thought I heard a sample from Pushing Me Away play from 1:25 to 1:33. I've never noticed this before. Have they always done this? I don't think its in the actual studio track...

yeah I noticed that too. A friend pointed it out to me a few months ago. I was hearing another live version of in the end, and they weren't doing it, so maybe it was just a PR 07 thing?

That's Brad playing the guitar harmonics from the verses of Pushing Me Away rather than the regular harmonics from In the End. He's been doing that occasionally during the second verse of In the End since 2004.

he did it at that alive! festival in portugal, i know that. :)

hell, "pushing me away" and "in the end" are in the same key and are roughly the same tempo; the drums are very similar and the vocals sound similar, in tone and melody (to some extent). they may as well turn it into a medley, haha.

Yeah, this discovery has actually led me to attempt a mashup between the two.
