    I don't like how some people think that just because Charlie Simpson was in Busted, Fightstar aren't to be taken seriously. They're an amazing band.

    Well after seeing how freaking awesome your VW is I might go for a Volkswagen as my next car since the Tornado's about ready to take a shit.

    I always liked your Volkswagens. For the most part they always seemed to be reliable cars, and have saved your life in car accidents at least twice.

    So yeah, I might be getting into the VW family sooner than you think.

    Let's not exaggerate.. neither of those accidents were THAT bad. (well the first one was) But yeah like the commercial says "once you get into a volkswagen, it gets into you" haha

    I dunno what to tell you to get though. I definitely would try for a MK3 style (93-98). Those cars are some of the most popular ones. The MK4s (99-05) are a crapshoot. Reliability isn't there.

    Either way, you will deal with problems. It comes with the VW territory.

    I could have told you that Toronado was a piece of crap. Any car that sits like that is going to have issues.

    OH BTW.. jesus guys your sigs are HUUUUUGE lol

    You should be thankful we allow sigs lol. A vast majority of the forums I go to are strictly against them (probably to conserve loading speeds) and therefore I think that's one of the things that make our community better.

    To be honest, I really love the new rounded style of your Jetta (I was never too partial on the whole block shape) but I know to get one of those I'd need to buy a newer Jetta and I don't think I'm willing to have a brand spanking new Jetta as my first real car. That's just stupid :lol:.

    And "weren't that bad"? You nearly totaled both of them! :lol:

    lol yeah i guess...

    I dunno.. get like a 95 or so jetta or golf. They're a lot easier to work on than the newer cars. you'll prolly have to spend right around 2000-2500 for it... but you could put a chunk down and finance the rest...

    Are there body kits that will make them look a bit more like yours? Like I said...I just like the new rounded look. It's very sleek and actually looks european for a change (since yeah...VW's are German and all).

    If you want an MKV Jetta, then join the club and get an MKV. Don't get an MKIII or MKIV and make it look like a fake MKV :lol:

    But back to the point, I dunno about body kits...the older Jetta is a pretty squarish car, and I don't think a bodykit will change a whole lot. I have yet to find any aftermarket bodykit for any car that I think makes the car look any better.


    BTW, what the hell kind of car is a Tornado...never heard of it before

    Yeah.. PLEASE do not put a body kit on a MK3 to make it look like a MK4. it looks so straight up ghetto and the VW community does not look kindly on that haha

    Seriously, if you want more rounded.. then go for a MK4. I'm not sure if you're gonna be able to wing the payments for a MK5 at this point. Just so you don't get a 99.. most cars from that year were pretty bunk. Otw you should be good.

    You can mod a MK4 pretty nicely.

    Oldsmobile Toronado Todd.. basically a real nice car for its day.. but a POS now haha

    Yeah payments on a MK5 would be stupid since it's a brand new car.

    MK4 might work. I'll have to look into that.

    Well.. a MK4 Jetta.. say right around a 2000 or so... is going to run you 6-8k.. payments shouldn't be bad on that.. esp if you are putting some down. I'd say $150-ish a month?
