I could've sworn I posted last week's Billboard charts, but perhaps they were confused with the year-end accolades post. Anyways, here goes: January 3rd Billboard Top 200 Albums Minutes To Midnight - #29 (Previous week - #36) Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Shadow of the Day - #3 (Previous week - #4) Bleed It Out - #8 (Previous week - #8) Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks Shadow of the Day - #15 (Previous week - #17) Billboard Hot 100 Shadow of the Day - #27 (Previous week - #28) January 10th Billboard Top 200 Albums Minutes To Midnight - #28 (Last week - #29) Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Shadow of the Day - #3 (Last week - #3) Bleed It Out - #9 (Last week - #8) Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks Shadow of the Day - #12 (Last week - #15) Billboard Hot 100 Shadow of the Day - #27 (Last week - #27) The last two weeks have seen Minutes To Midnight jump a total of eight spots, from #36 to #29 and then a one spot climb this week to #28. "Shadow of the Day" continues to pick up speed, this week staying at #3 on the Modern Rock charts after jumped one spot last week. The single has also jumped five spots on the Mainstream Rock charts over the last two cycles, this week landing at #12. Lastly, the song keeps creeping up the Hot 100, this week crawling one spot to #27. "Bleed It Out" has shown remarkable staying power on the Modern Rock charts despite never hitting #1. The song has been a mainstay in the top ten for the last few months, this week placing at #9.
Minutes To Midnight is raising up! Success! Think it might be because of Shadow of the Day? The very same happened to Meteora when Numb was a hit; I think the album even went back up to the Top Ten even though it dropped out.
