   but rob did make new parts, yeah? 'cause there's a drum fill, for instance, as jay-z starts the first verse on "jigga what" ..

   That part there is definately a fill that was never there before. It would make sense for any new parts to be done by Rob cause he'd have to know them for the live performances anyway.
