I always thought it was Chester singing "I cant feel the way I did before" and "time wont heal this damage anymore" Singing the parts in bold at the same time he was saying "feeeeeeeeeeeeeel" and "heaaaaaaaaaaaaaal" (they can do that in studios--make him say 2 things at once) But, as I listened to Faint more closely today, I'm convinced that is Mike singing the parts in bold as Chester screams "feel" and "heal." It just sorta sounded more like Mike. So, what do you guys think? Is that Mike or Chester?
i think if mikes backing anything, its probably 'i wont be ignored' i cant hear any backing vocals on 'the way i did before' and 'this damage anymore'... but mike probably backs those live... i can sort of hear something on the 'heeeal/feeeeal' parts... but its pretty hard to tell whos backing...
Mike and Chester are both singing that part. You can hear both of them clearly on all choruses.. Or.. I could anyway. *shrug*
Mike sings it live but its Chester on the cd. He records the parts twice and layers them, one high part that you hear clearly, and a lower part, kind of like a tenor/bass thing (chorus people know what I mean). he did that for a lot of songs
Yes, I've seen their live performance this Wednesday, It seemed that Mike and Chester sing together the same parts all the time, but the voice which is singing the particular part on the CD was always louder. Only when Mike had some long rapping verses, Chaz was screaming/singing something like aaaaaaaaah or hmmmmmmmm, u know what I mean
That's because it was mixed in the studios. Mike wasn't backing it up in the part. Mike backs up (I won't be ignored) and (I can't feel, the way I did before, don't turn your back on me) Then Chester screams I won't be ignored.
does all the other members of the band do backing vocals?... since on the record it always said backing vocals: brad, joe, rob and phioenix.... but i listened to the albums "X" times, and never heard anyone of them.. or so i thought? someone tell me...
please don't bump an old topic unless you have something useful to add to it. thanks [/b][/quote] Shut the F U C K up!
