He'll probably do what Radiohead is doing and release it online for free or through paypal like Dusan said. Whether he releases anything through brick-and-mortar chains is the real question. I guess we'll find out eventually.
There's always the option of Nothing Records being brought back to life strictly for the purpose of releasing NIN music.
Thats what I'd like to see. Why doesn't he own the PHM stuff though? Surely that contract is over by now?
When it went out of print, it was bought out by Rykodisc, who currently owns the rights to PHM and the Mortal Kombat Soundtrack.
I don't know the specifics, but I know when the Broken EP was released, all his songs were copyrighted through his own company, Leaving Hope Music, Inc.
Hasn't it been under Leaving Hope since? I know it mentions it on The Fragile. But anyways. Huzzah for Trent. Start Nothing back up again, and hire me when I get out of college so I can learn the glory of producing and engineering from the almighty master
Apparently, Interscope has the rights to release a Greatest Hits compilation for Nine Inch Nails, so expect that next year probably. And it's been noted on theninhotline that Trent just now started on the follow-up to Year Zero, as he was waiting to be free of contracts and record labels.
OT. Everyone on here who watches Heroes ends up posting OMFG HEROES in Random Thoughts. So we decided to take a chara's name as part of the group OMFG HEROES. /OT Yeah. But Interscope sucks so they wouldn't call it that.
Yes. Billboard announced, after PRP announced, that despite NIN being off of Interscope, y34rz3r0r3m1x3d is still being released on november 20th as a cd/dvd on Interscope. I'm excited. A week before my birthday :]
