Same here really. I also used to play piano and clarinet years and years ago. If we're counting vocals then them as well.
this is going to be my 6th year playing flute in school. don't get me wrong, I'm not, you know...weird, or anything. I also want to learn to play piano/keyboard a little. electric guitar (I think I'd like to play bass more than normal) is something that I might like to try as like a free time hobby-type thing when I'm like 30.
I wanna learn bass, but my parents are convinced its a waste of time. I asked my dad to show me a single song without bass, and he walked off.
I don't understand why people DON'T count vocals as an instrument. It's an instrument in the music major in colleges, count it folks!
Okay, my place, tomorrow, 7pm. Bring chocolate sauce. ---------------- Hmm, I should count vocals as an instrument, so yeah...*mentally adds that to my list*
You'll supply the whipped cream? Awesome. I think it'd be awesome if there was a thread for people to upload their playing/sing.
I play electric and upright bass, in jazz band, concert band annd orchestra. 5 years ago [..wow.] is when I started to play electric bass, and when I discontinued playing acoustic guitar [which was for at least 3 years, I think]. And I've started to learn upright bass in the past months. I play in my school's jazz band, concert band and orchestra. On the side [in jazz band (we have 3 bassists)], I play a variety of axillary instruments, such as the congas, shakers, and of course, the cowbell.
I definitely could've used more cowbell in Year Zero, AND Minutes to Midnight. TLTGYA would have been a perfect cowbell solo.
