Alright, I decided to finally make a thread about it, because no one has yet. I think it's a good time to do it, too, because yesterday we got track names. They are not in order, though! Just alphabetical. ABERINKULA AGADEZ ASKEPIOS CAVALETTAS - RECALL CONJUGAL BURNS GOLIATH ILYENA METATRON OUROBOROS SOOTHSAYER TOURNIQUET MAN WAX SIMULACRA The album is, like in the title, The Bedlam in Goliath, and there's no release date confirmed yet, although it's known that the album is completed and is just waiting to be released. Promo copies supposedly are being sent out around now.. so there should be a leak soon?
I'm hoping that it has the good upbeat songs we know they can do(Cygnus, Day of the Baphomets) with a more poppy edge to slower songs like Viscera Eyes, The Widow, Eriatarka, and Televators, and that the concept is executed as well as Frances The Mute. This album is going to be badass, but it's supposedly pushed to October now, and maybe even further. A Universal rep. said they haven't even been shown the album art yet, and no one has been allowed to hear any of the music, so the promos haven't been sent out, I guess. The album is fucking done. Why can't they move a little faster?
From what I heard through the band and Sonny at Gold Standard Labs, Universal has all the crap (minus album art) but they're not sending out. Basically they adopted Equal Vision's modus operandi and sending shit out as late as possible to prevent major months before hand leaks. So expect a leak probably around September at the earliest, give or take.
Omar hasn't realized his dream of releasing more solo albums under a band that has more line-up changes than Menudo yet.
I hope they have more songs like "The Apparatus Must Be Unearthed" and songs off "Deloused in the Comatorium" as a whole.
To be honest, I really didn't like Amputechture. But if it sounds anything like Deloused, I'll definitely buy it.
The album is finished. Mixing, everything. There is some label issues since TMV is on Universal Motown and Motown is part of the Universal family anymore.
