I actually prefer to have my middle name as my first name. My middle name is Catherine, named after my grandmother. I believe Andrea came from this woman who sold my dad a car or something and he liked the name, lol. I was supposed to be named Jessica. Everyone in my family has a 'J' name but instead named me Andrea to be different.
That's because you're special and not like any other woman . *big awwww moment* My name is Derek obviously and I'm fine with my name. I used to want to be called Jack when I was much, much younger but much like anything when you're a kid that died out and I grew comfortable with Derek instead of Jack.Kind of ironic since I used to be told I looked like Jack Osbourne which to me, is an insult.
Well I've only got one first name (Thomas) because my dad didn't want me to have more than one. My mother would have chosen Thomas, Pierre (french for Peter) and Willem (dutch name). I think she would have chosen Julie for my if I had been a girl :S (luckily I'm a boy )
That would've been awesome! like: Bradley come to the front of the class. Both bradleys (with same last names): which one of us?
Colet - I guess I like it. Not that many people have it (around here, at least), so that makes it somewhat interesting. Apparently my parents wanted to make it easier to write my signature, though, since they gave me the shorter version of my first name and took out a letter of my middle name without changing the pronunciation on either. So that makes me Colet Ambr. yay for me. Could've easily been Allegra, so I think I got lucky.
My name is Christophe, it's the french version of Christopher... I don't really like it when people call me Chris, I don't know why but I just don't hear it as my name. Most of my friends call me Stof, though. If I was a girl I'd probably be called Stephanie, which I think is okay but my dad's name is Stephan so that would've been awkward. About the whole same names in one class thing. There used to be a Kristof in my class which is the same name in Dutch, it wasn't very handy. So we call him Kriki.
This isn't my name but I think it's funny and since we're talking about names, I might as well bring it up. My cousin's name is Jaqueline Danielle...she's named after Jack Daniels whiskey.
Malika. It means queen in Arabic. My mother wanted to call me 'Lola'. I like Lola bunny. I like the name. I roomed with a girl called Lola, my first year at summer camp in France. My second [I think] swim coach was the one to begin calling me 'Mali'. She did so because there was another Malika in the team, the only other Malika-with-one-L that I have ever met. Mali means gardener in Hindi, I think. The coach wouldn't have known. She's Romanian.
Darcy means "Dark" in (Irish) Gaelic. My middle name was supposed to be Lawless - a family name. I don't know why they chose Amelia but when I turn 18 I'm changing it to Lawless because it suits me better and everyone regrets picking Amelia anyway.
My names Rahat and i like it just fine since here in america not many people have that name, i don't remember the meaning of my name but i know it was something cool...damn why can't i remember
Mark, go fark yourself. I was named Tomi [well, my legal name longer, if you know my background, you can easily figure out the last 4 letters, but otherwise I'm not telling you] after my grandpa [who died before me]. I like my shorted version, but the full version annoys me somewhat, not sure why. Though I wouldn't mind Matt.
My first and middle name was orignally supposed to be Nolan Ryan. Instead it became Christopher Adrian, but it works since I added my mothers maiden name, Rodriguez, to my name so I can have the long pretentious hispanic name. But still... Nolan Ryan... I'm pretty settled with my name.
I'm Jordan, I used to hate it but I'm fine with it now. My name was almost Dirk, which I actually would've preferred, 'cos like, I'm never gonna meet another Dirk in my life, and yea, I'd feel special. lol. But yea, Dirks my middle name, and I get called it by my mates actually. Thinking getting my username on here changed to it...
