The song tied the previous mark set by "Numb" back in late-2003, early-2004. The single dropped to #2 on the Mainstream Charts, ending its two-month reign at #1. Lastly, WID fell one spot to #23 on both the Hot 100 and Hot Digital charts.
Damn, I was hoping for a dual #1 record-breaking festival. Oh well, It's doing well either way. I'm more excited to see how the newer-styled singles would do, whatever those will be.
i reckon WID is going to stay that strong on the chart for at least another month or so, because its the ending theme song for Transformers, and damn it sounded great to hear LP on the big screen
I hope that WID keeps up at #1. I want it to be up there with Scar Tissue and Boulevard of Broken Dreams .
Or even surpass those songs and break the record of being up in the charts for 17 weeks? (Only 16 weeks has been achieved in modern rock history for #1)
God, that song's been number one through some of April, May and June. If it can keep it up through July that would be nice but My feeling is this is the last week.
