Billboard Top 200 Albums Minutes To Midnight - #6 (Last week - #7) Billboard Modern Rock Tracks What I've Done - #1 (Last week - #1) Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks What I've Done - #1 (Last week - #1) Billboard Hot 100 What I've Done - #22 (Last week - #23) Billboard Hot Digital Tracks What I've Done - #22 (Last week - #20) Minutes To Midnight jumped up a spot to #6 this week, after four straight weeks of small declines. The album sold 78,762 copies in the last week. In terms of the rock charts, I'm sick of repeating myself, so "What I've Done" = 11 straight weeks on Modern Rock, 8 straight weeks on Mainstream Rock charts. Lastly, the single made minor moves on the Hot 100 and Hot Digital charts, climbing one spot on the former, and falling two spots on the latter.
Wow! 11 weeks/8 weeks at number one for a song is just amazing. I think this album could do around 3 million. That seems to be where most artists get stuck (beyonce, akon, hinder, etc lol and all of you on here prob hate all of them , but they are selling the most)
Its been confirmed from IGN that Minutes To Midnight sold 3.3 million worldwide, 1 million of them in the United States. I wonder if it can get halfway to Meteora at 5.5 million.
Hm, if I remember well, Beyonce didn't get up to 2 millions, She sold 500,000 copies and then she got around 1 million. Neither did Akon, he was about 2 million. The only group that sold 4.5 million copies in 2006/2007 was the "High School Musical" thing. Which, I don't really see how. And then Daughtry with 3 million copies. ... So for this year so far, I think LP has sold the most copies. And I wouldn't be surprised if this album sells. at least, 4.5 million copies hopefully, if the other singles left boost it up.
Well according to Wikipedia right now Linkin Park has the 2nd most copies sold internationally, right behind Norah Jones with Not Too Late. The difference is roughly 900,000 albums, but at the same time her album was released on January so there's plenty of time to catch up. Except the thing is its kind of seemingly out-dated seeing how LP sold 3.3 million worldwide already; I'm not sure if it includes US sales or not. If it was 3.3 million then the difference is reduced to 500,000 copies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_in_music#Best_Album_Sales_.28Worldwide.29
Well I doubt an underrated album like this (Metacritic, calculating the average album score) being more underrated than Meteora would already score to 3.3 million in a month. There's a special aura around Minutes To Midnight; we'll just have to see if it pops up or not.
Actually i see that people are accepting the change and many people like WID and they will buy the album. As for the bashing, i`m sure those people didn`t plan to buy the album anyway. A little optimism wouldn`t hurt.
