Minutes to Midnight is so different from their last two efforts that I can't really compare them. Hence, I'm gonna go ahead and not vote .
I voted for Minutes to Midnight. Although I love Hybrid Theory, Minutes to Midnight is growing on me more and more. The songs have been stuck and rehearsed in my head for ages and I can't stop singing them. Even my girlfriend loves more songs from MTM than Meteora and HT combined. MTM shows more creativity and a more mature style to music. Definately the greatest album they have ever made.
When I listened to HT I thought, does it get any better than this? then, I bought meteora, and I thought does it get any better than this?Enter MTM. I now listen to HT and meteora and find myself wanting more, on musical level. It is so different and such a big step up in skill, that for that reason right now I like MTM more...for now. But when in need of something heavier I generally play given up and no more sorrow then put on the first 2 albums. and btw..I dont really consider reanimation a rue true album
Hybrid Theory is totally awesome. But MTM is a close second with Meteora being last but they are all frikin great.
Minutes to Midnight>Hybrid Theory>Meteora Minutes to Midnight is the most musically diverse, deep, and fun album they've made so far.
I'm always going back and forth between all their albums, and my favorite is never constant. They all have their own strengths, and I love all of them, but since I had to vote I chose Hybrid Theory because it's classic.
I really love Minutes to Midnight but there's something in there that doesn't satisfice me the 100%... I think it's just 'cuz I'm still used to their old sound.. I can't really decide which one is better since the 3 of them are different: Sound, Lyrics and their goals. You have to be open minded on the 3 of them. But Minutes to Midnights is something that fits me and I like its general meaning, after all.
I'm still siding with Hybrid Theory even thought I think Minutes To Midnight is amazing. I've loved it for so long now.
Hybrid Theory: My first rock CD EVER. I was twelve. NO ONE CAN'T COMPETE WITH YOUR FIRST LOVE!! Meteora: I absolutely loved the "Work In Process" Concept. Them being as artistic as they are made me fall in love with them a little bit more. My HS art teacher (which I have so much respect for) even surprised me one day by showing the DVD to the class. She absolutely fell in love with Mike Minutes: After not hearing anything new from them for a while... and having only their old stuff to look back at (and just hearing negative opinions on them), I was ready to give up on them.. I was afraid that, musically, I was "growing out of them"... But WOAH! Did they come back and slap me in the face with this one. I absolutely love this album. Again, it's my favoite musically. So I guess they're all my fave in different ways... But if I must vote, I vote Minutes. It's so damn awesome. KUDOS TO LP FOR TAKING THE RISK WITH M2M
