In the studio, most if not all of each Nine Inch Nails release is performed entirely by Trent Reznor. On stage, he assembles a group of backing musicians to accompany him.

Yeah your right. Its stated somewhere in Wikipedia that he likes to hire a live band to play music for some reason, but NIN's only official member is Trent. I don't know if the rest of the members left or something, but all I know is that he makes and does everything. Though not sure if he hires a producer...

NIN started off with just Trent. He wrote everything. When it came time to choose a live output, he had choices of basically like, an electronic sort of style with just him, or a live band. He chose the latter. He writes, records, and produces all his music.

There are no other members, he just writes the music and chooses who will play it in front of people.

    Oh and...

just experiment some more. I'm faithful enough to take whatever you throw at me, LP.

    You guys are so disappointed??
Even though this is not a bad album , i'm so sad that there isn't any rap.
I wanna hear it from Mike
Without rap, there will be no LP

definately not a concept album, lp don't need that.

I really like the new album, it is more mature, and I´m happy with the lack of rap. But in the next album I want a heavier sound, and more electronic influence, and a concept. I love concept albums.

Personally I'd like to see Hahn and Mike's return to the band...jk Just way more scratching, a lot more rapping please, and more distortion, and less emo Chester....keep the poper stoper on!

Minutes to Midnight has all of the scratching, all the rapping, and all the metal totally striped away, leaving us with only an echo of how great Lp use to sound like, which is still good in itself, but lets be honest, they can do way better than this.

Am I the only one who thinks MTM is a little too depressing souding? Chaz needs prozac for the next album.

id love if they went full out with the hip hop element and fused it with the rock again but in a different way.. they made nu-metal last time by combining metal riffs, rapping and electronica, they should lighten up on the distortion and do a light rock/ rap album sort of like The Roots But you know. Sounding like lp. Just organic hip hop. And...rock. Yeah.
