I'll probably get some tattoos, but not ones you could see if I was wearing a t-shirt, because if I have to get a real job I'd be fucked. I'd get something meaningful though, no joke tattoos.

I'm not gonna lie, if a proper tattoo artist added a bit of their style to that, it would look pretty amazing as a tat. Serious or not.

Yeah I want to get my ear gauged to something that's not too big, but just big enough you can get one of those earrings that you can see through my ear at least. I lovee those. And yeah, I'm going up size by size. I'm not trying to force it or anything, so so far I've been pretty safe. Yeah 14 isn't really big at all but I intend to go higher. <3

    in that case i reccommend a 4 or a 2

i have a saddle tunnel 4 in, which is why i say im at a 3, because you need to go a size higher to put the smaller one in (which really didnt make sense now that i think about it). however, it lets me get regular earrings through the tunnel, not to mention it freaks people out when i stick things through my ear

the easiest way to gauge is with pinchers. by god get pinchers. especially the ones that come with plugs that match. pinchers are easier to gauge with because they slowly increase, and have that curve to make it easier to push through yourself, as opposed to a taper, which needs someone elses work.

and now, i have a story for all of you who are going up by sizes TOO DAMN FAST.

one day at school i was bored out of my mind and wanted to go up from an 10. my friend Ho7ez, who doesn't have any common sense, but I love him, told me to jump straight to a 6. I laughed in his face.

He then handed me some 8g pinchers and told me to go to those and that later on the day i could go to 6 since 10 to 8 didnt hurt at all.

so, during the first of the three lunches i had, i put in the 8 g pincher after taking the 10 plug out. easy as pie, didnt hurt, no bleeding, voila, instant gratification.

second lunch passed as i let it heal, and i waited for my ear to be prepared for more of the fucked up idea Ho7ez had given me.

by third lunch i approached Ho7ez and he had two clear 6g pinchers that were approximately an inch and a half long. He managed to get the first one in fine. It hurt a little, but thats because 8 to 6 was kind of a big jump (I really wish they would start selling 7 gauge in Hot Topic, I know they exist, I've seen them).

However, when he tried to put the other taper in my left ear...all hell broke loose. I heard a squishy popping noise, and pretty soon, I notivced the once clear taper...was now bright fucking pink. And dripping. Yum.

Mind you this is at the lunch table whilst people were dining on barbecue rib sammiches. Delish.

I wiped the taper off, and slowly moved it back and forth over the course of a few days to get it to be healed enough to put some plugs in.

of course, I listened to Ho7ez again as he tried to put some silicone 4 gauges in my ear after i had gauged to a 4 a week prior. Once again. Squishy pop. But this wasnt a dripping. This was a flood. He freaked out (mind you this is the one who wants to get into piercing, hah) and told me to go into the bathroom. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, who was at a 2 gauge, tried putting them into her ear, and they would not go in either. We then chucked the gauges at some random kid eating a salad.

I stuck my hand over my ear, and when I entered the bathroom and looked at the mirror...I noticed my palm looked like i had stigmata. I then looked at a bunch of foreign girls in the bathroom, smeared my bloody hand over the mirror, and caused 3 of the 5 previously mentoned girls to run into a stall and hurl. yay!

Moral of the story: WAIT TO GAUGE, AND NEVER USE SILICONE PLUGS, THEY DO NOT FIT.

Eh, I was going to get my eyebrow pierced, but turns out I'd just get fired, no questions asked, from my job. Which I obviously don't want.

So, I'm just going to get some tattoos instead. For my birthday (next month) I'm getting the Trivium "T" on my right bicep. I'd also like to get some wings done on my back/shoulderblades. I'll probably get some more later on.

I was thinking bat's wings, or would that be too cliche?

And I dunno, maybe the size of an album cover, I'm not terribly sure.

Yep, no clear retainers, no flesh-coloured bandages, just straight out the door. And it's only a supermarket ferchrissake >_<

Heh what supermarket? I've seen people with eyebrow rings covered with bandages before at Stop n Shop and such.

Bat wings I don't really see too often, I always see angel wings, mainly black ones.

Mine are going to be tattered wings, covering only the top part of the shoulder blade.

 I'm in Australia, so I don't know about Stop n Shop. I work at IGA though.

Well then I'll probably get bat's wings, just not sure when. The tattered look sounds cool. This is what I'll be getting next month:

Well, Stop n Shop is a grocery store. It's odd that certain stores of the same species, if you will, wont allow certain things, when other ones will.

Anyways, definitle go for tattered. Not a lot of those around :] Be sure to get a good photo reference of what you want, and see if your artist can also draw something up. Sometimes hand drawn are better, and sometimes references are, and sometimes you can combine both :]

I really only consider tattoos worth the while when they really mean something to me and I've helped designing or coming up with the idea myself.

Like for example Johnny Depp has the Jack Sparrow tattoo and it looks cool because it stands for something he's accomplished in his life.

I don't see myself going to a tattooparlor just to get a tattoo and when I'm there pick one out of a book...

Actually, the sparrow tattoo isn't for his character. The name Jack and the flying sparrow is for his son ^_^ Not to mention, the sparrow on his arm faces the opposite direction of Jack Sparrow's tattoo. I think they named the character that to incorporate the tattoo.

And yeah, I agree with the tattoos having meaning. The wings and my grandfathers initials is for the horrible life my grandfather had to go through to give us a good one. The sheet music is to commemorate my love for music, and the pawprits is a more personal reason. The kids names obviously, but the old school anchors, nautical stars, and swallows is just to show my love for the classics ^_^

Oh, didn't know that. :p But still Johnny Depp's tattoo is pretty awesome, and yours sound like great ideas too.
