If you don't even know about it, British Columbia is currently in a state of emergency due to the ever increasing forest fires that have plauged us for the last couple of months. Just yesterday, the fire near Faukland knocked out my internet access for the rest of the day. Now, what I'm saying is that this could happen again, and it could be for a longer period of time. Other than the fact that I'm going back on Tuesday to finish off my Work Crew Session (which ends this Friday), if you don't see me on these boards posting, it's probably because the fire knocked out my access again.
that sucks, man. it seems like there's forest fires all over the place in north america now. was the fire(s) started by reckless campers? or was it natural causes?
fire? i like fire...in small quantities not the huge bring down major forests kind. i hope BC gets the problem solved soon. we had a major forest fire somewhere out east and the forest is still trying to rebuild itself.
Forest fires = bad. Once we were driving to Nevada and we were overlooking this forest thing. Most of the trees were dead. I don't know if it was from a fire or not, but it was way eerie.
Look, I am somewhat of a pyromaniac, but I'm also pro-life and non-violent. Strange. I think the term for me would be "mellow madman".
I live on the Vancouver Island (south BC) and it's usually a rain forest. Now it's so dry that there are brush fires everywhere - small enough to be controlled but still a little bit unnerving!
i actually went to south BC on vacation when it was a rainforest. it's very beautiful there. too bad it's so dry lately :*(
there are fires all across europe from francy - poland im getting scared now, they ignored the warnings about greenhouse gases making things hotter for too long, now its too late.
Yeah, so I just got back from Work Crew, and I learned that both Faukland (where the fire knocked out my internet) and Barry have both been levelled by the fire, and now I'm really starting to get a little freaked out. We've been lucky enough to avoid a fire for a while, but it's pretty much only a matter of time before the fire hits Prince George, and that would really suck. I really don't want to see the city I have grown up in go down in flames.
two days ago some bushes were on fire they almost burned the gas station, and it's close to my house so that was kinda weird i guess
