I mean like the 2004 lineup. And 2006 wasn't that bad either. I don't remember 2005's. Point is, besides a handful of bands (or less than half anyway, and i've seen half of that half before as it is), this lineup is a little.. meh.
These bands just confirmed: - Evanescence - Machine Head - Motley Crue - Enter Shikari - Gallows - 30 Seconds To Mars - Bowling For Soup I feel sorry for my mate Alex's band Subversion. Subversion are like best friends with the guys from both Enter Shikari and Gallows.
Me and my friend are seriously considering going. How likely is it that the thing could sell out? And if we buy a weekend pass, is it very likely we can actually get into the "pit" and get close to the stage?
I don't ever remember Tickets selling out before May. Also you might need to camp outside the venue a few days before the event if you want to get even close to the main stage otheriwse you'll be stuck at a stage where bands you've probably never heard of are playing such as the band 'Gay For Johnny Depp'.
Oh fuck. If there's no guarantee I'll be close up, I don't see the sense in spending a cool thousand on plane tickets and concert tickets for an unsure thing. I'd rather buy tickets to a smaller show and be guaranteed to be up close.
Megadeth... now if Alexisonfire were on the bill I would go to watch those two bands and sit in a tent drinking for the rest of the weekend.
I got a refund for my GIAN ticket so I could still go if I don't spend anything for a few weeks and pay a visit to Big Barry the loan shark. - Linkin Park - Iron Maiden - Killswitch Engage - Slayer - Billy Talent - Stone Sour - Unearth - Chimaira - Lamb Of God - Machine Head - Gallows - 30 Seconds To Mars - Megadeth - Shadows Fall - Dream Theater Depending on times those are the bands I'd watch if I went. I Was A Cub Scout are meant to be good but I haven't heard them yet.
Aiden, Between The Trees, Beyond All Reason, Biffy Clyro, Billy Talent, From Autumn To Ashes, Hardcore Superstar, Hayseed Dixie and Hellyeah added to the lineup.
Papa Roach, Kids In Glass Houses, Drive By Argument, Hinder, Lez Zeppelin, Mastodon, Necro, Reel Big Fish, Reuben and This Et Al were also added to the lineup today.
Anathema, Cancer Bats, Head Automatica, Napalm Death, Orange Goblin, Paramore, Parikrama, Porcupine Tree, Saosin, Yourcodenameis: Milo, Zico Chain and Satellite Party have been added to the lineup. Also if you go to the full lineup page on the download festival website you can see whos playing on what days.
