My room mate has just recently purchased the newest installment of the Command and Conquer series. After he installed it he was able to play it a few times just fine and then started getting a lot of problems. He had to readjust his resolution for it and update some drivers and that helped for a while, but now he's getting virtual memory problems. He reformatted his computer to last known safe mode and tweaked his virtual memory, yet he still gets the same message. His computer meets all the specs for the game. Any clue on what's going on here or how to fix this?
You just mixed three things: - reformatting - boot option: last known good condition - boot option: safe mode Congratulations, I never thought that would be possible.
How memory does he have because if it is only the min required if he's playing long games or with lots of players he could hit problems.
...He booted to last known good condition. I know he has 1 gig of RAM, I believe his processor is 2.0 GHz. He has a newer model computer. But for some reason this game just keeps crashing on him.
He might have to find the root cause of the issue, or reformat windows. Finding the root cause could be hell, but usually if something runs for a bit then constantly crashes, there's an issue with windows. He could TRY a full uninstall and reinstall of CnC... Then after that my recommendation would be to reinstall windows.
