After listening to the whole album, I've definitely changed my opinion prior to when I hadn't heard any of it. It's their most solid album in my opinion, in that all the songs are pretty good, unlike "Wonder What's Next", where the album fell of significantly the further you went into the album, and "This Type Of Thinking...", which in my opinion was just crap besides 3 or so songs. Favorites: - "I Get It" (should have been first single, IMO) - "Well Enough Alone" - "Antisaint" - "Saturdays" - "The Fad" - "Humanoid"
Not sure why everyone is lovin' Antisaint so much, seems to get a little repetitive, and the parts that are repeated don't really sound that great to me. Anyway, overall I think this is a pretty good album. Tracks that stand out to me are Brainiac, The Fad, and I Get It.
I'm so hooked on "I Get It", it's just an amazing song. It definitely would have served for a better first single, I agree Ant.
I've tried searching for the lyrics at numerous places, but no luck. They don't even have all of them at the Chevelle message board... [I saw lyrics for Well Enough Alone and Antisaint].
the drumming in this album is really goood and still yet, not overdone. after a few more listenings from my previous post, songs such as 'brainiac' and 'midnight to midnight' really stand out. this album is really easy to listen to. maybe it has something to do with me thinking they sound a bit like tool though..
Good album, great sound. Chevelle's lyrics never made much sense to me though, this album isn't much different.
Picked this up at Best Buy today for the 2 bonus tracks it comes with. Excellent album, it's steadily growing on me with each listen. Nothing like some good ol' kickass Chevelle.
bought it today. def my fave album. best songs - antisaint and safewaters Edit : add braniac and well enough alone. any links to download the bonus tracks? i dont think its fair i should have to buy the album at a particular store to hear all the music on the album. especially if its good. sorry if this is not allowed here.
