R.E.M. - Automatic for the People belongs about where it is (love that album). Miles Davis should be higher up. Hell Freezes Over should be higher up. Get Eminem off that list. Shania Twain needs to go, too. Blood Sugar Sex Magik...okay. London Calling at #96? Come on. UP UP UP. Kenny motherfucking G? What the hell? Good to see Synchronicity is on there, but what about Ghost in the Machine (The Police)? That's just what I was thinking as I read the list. Yeesh. Noticeably missing items: Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation. I consider that to be the greatest album of all time. Failure's Fantastic Planet. My Bloody Valentine's Isn't Anything. Operation Ivy's Energy. Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate. Nick Drake's Pink Moon. Skywave's Interference. Letters to Cleo's Aurora Gory Alice. Depeche Mode's Violator. Stupid commercial success.

Blondie by Blondie i'm not really judging this on "mainstream success or record sales", mainly, i'm judging this on influence. like, botch is so high on this list because most of the metalcore bands out there base there sound on we are the romans. just listen to o god the aftermath by norma jean. and many bands in the post-hardcore genre try to be at the drive-in and such. they made jumping around on stage cool again.
I know. It's just that, in my opinion, those bands are more influential than some of the ones you've already mentioned, but it's a respectable list so far anyway. Maybe I'd try making one.

Not sure if you caught it, but you have "Green Day - Dookie" listed at 42 and 54. Caught that while glancing through lol.
it's all opinion-based. it's hard to construct a 200 definitive album list. a lot of the entries on this one i disagree with, but a lot i do agree with, though not necessarily in certain spots. get rich or die trying by 50 cent is on this list? wow. haha.
