there are way too many people at my school that define "poser." they decide that being gothic means dressing in black and looking depressed, but there's a hell of a lot more to it than that. and the punks? if they really are punks, what are they doing behaving in class ;D wow, so rebellious. yes avril is a poser. i won't even go into a discussion 'cuz it's all been said. my friend told me how they think amy lee of evanescence is a poser 'cuz her songs, look, and voice sound a lot like poe. i've heard poe's music, there's barely any similarity.
Have you? I didn't think so. I'm dead serious: if a record company asked me to sound poppy, I'd tell them to f*ck off and I'd storm out. No joke. I will not become famous the way others want me to. Lots of people didn't have to do that - Linkin Park being a great example. Also: Amy Lee is not a poser. I'm sorry, I think Evanescence is very original.

No, she isn't! I know this one girl at my elementary school, Korrina (Mel knows her too) and she used to be all preppy. She used to follow around the popular girl, and try to get popular herself. But then Sara had enough of her (Korrina was really bitchy) and stopped the "friendship" the had. So she changed to 'punk' and started wearing tomboy clothes. She said she loved Linkin Park before they were even famous, but when I asked her who Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda were, she went, "Who are you talking about?" It was so funny, you could totally tell she was a poser.
