    ive been getting into Sig making lately and i use photoshop, but alot of people tell me that Fireworks is really good for making signatures as well, so i wanna get peoples opinions whats better for sig making, Macromedia Fireworks or Adobe Photoshop

    Does anyone even use Fireworks? :lol:

    Besides, weren't they bought over by Adobe anyways?

    Indeed. Adobe owns the entire Macromedia product line now. There's not much of a difference. I'd say if you're already using Photoshop, stick to that because Fireworks (from my experience) is just a watered down version of Photoshop. I could be wrong, but that's how it's always seemed to me.

    I've always thought Fireworks catered more towards vector [note: use Illustrator for vector, if you're doing that kinda work]. Although, Photoshop is the more powerful one. :)

    I think Fireworks is for vector graphics, and photoshop is bitmap. Main difference....

    Fireworks is good for batching too.

    that's how i've always seen it as well.
    plus there's a lot more resources out there for photoshop in the way of brushes, filters, etc. its kind of the standard as far as graphic design goes
