I was listening to my favorite radio station...Project 961 here in Atlanta right before 6 and they said coming up at 6 they were playing a new Metallica instrumental they just got. They got it today in the mail and I this is the first time they've played it.

It's an instrumental for an All-Star Tribute they did. I won't ruin it for you, so check it out yourself. I'm not the biggest Metallica fan but I think it's actually pretty fucking sweet.

I ripped it from the radio and got Chris (the DJ) talking before and after about it, so you'll know exactly what's going on.

Check it out and post feedback here.

Lars needs to give it up. He's not a good drummer. I've never listened to a Metallica song and thought, "Man, the drumming is great!" I don't know, I think the instrumental was awesome, aside from Lars' terrible drumming.

His drumming has definately declined, but he was a quite good drummer in his day.

It only really started getting sloppy on the St Anger tour.

He's been sloppy since Master of Puppets. Hell, the Band has been sloppy since Master of Puppets. they need to bring Cliff back from the dead somehow (Though Robert is the best thing to happen to them since Cliff). But in the meantime, i got really excited about that, but to be fair, it sounds like something from top gun with a lost country singer yelling over the top. If you get rid of the bad drumming and yelling then yes, it's pertty good. But they really need to oust Lars. They have done for a long time..
