Sincere condolences from a member of the firefighting community and future firefighter himself... When we hear about a LODD (Line of duty death) we all hope it'll be the last time we hear those words. It's a dangerous job and will always be, whatever progress is made on the safety level.

-2 degrees Fahrenheit today. Last night, when I was driving home, it was -15, without windchill. My hands went numb while putting five gallons of gas in my car.

We're better yet not faring any better than you. My brother had a 2 hr. delay from school today due to it being -2 when school usually starts. They didn't wanna risk it.

Think it's supposed to get up to like 15-20 today, which is rare for us.

It's so cold that a friend of mine who owns a VW Beetle can't drive it at all. Anything below zero, and it just won't start. Luckily, he can work from home.
