Oh man, this is gonna suck. Well, still even if they change it, how will that stop us from downloading, its like a 1 in 1,00000000,0000000000 chance of them finding you (if there are even that many people in canada)

Well, apparently a lot of people get caught in the US. Then again, my friend who has ~18k songs still hasn't been caught.

I wonder how Telus is. As far as I remember, Shaw's terrible because they limit torrent bandwidth. Hell, Roger's is even worse, they apparently prevent seeding. @

In the US, they only go after uploaders. Downloaders are pretty much safe

Anyone think this might not have a chance of going through because it's currently a minority gov't in power?

    Who says I don't?

I'd rather support the artist by going to concerts, rather than buying their CD's which the artist only get a tiny cut of usually. Although, I do buy CDs of local artists.

Before you call someone an asshole, make sure you have some backing. I believe you just broke rule #3.

Yeah, I buy Cd's... When there on sale lol. But I buy some Cds after I download them to "support the artist" Like I downloaded Kezia, and then i went and bought it.

Yeah, they seem to be more about the sharing people, and not the innocent folks who happen to see that they can get a free album.

Not if you have forced encryption turned on ;)

I'm on Rogers, no issues :)

Mmkay, that's what I figured. Although, I'm recall hearing in the news that there's this company that helps decrypt the torrent encryption. I think they were working with Shaw though. Either way, not good news for us (until a stronger encryption, at least).
