Title is self explanatory, anyone know how I can convert a divx AVI so that it can play on a DVD-R when put into a DVD player that supports those? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
NeroVision Express can do it So can DVDSanta I can't think of any freeware off the top of my head though.
OK, well if you want to convert it, go to afterdawn.com and search their forums for how to convert a DivX file to a standard AVI file and burn the image with Nero or something like that.
If your DVD player supports DivX (has the logo) just burn the file onto a disk and you're good. If not, you're going to have to convert it to a vcd or svcd with a program like tmpgenc and it'll take 2 cds.
Use this, http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm it is freeware, and it is a very good program. Hope this helps Make sure not to update, because this is the only free one.
