Getting a Divx AVI to play on a DVD

So can DVDSanta

I can't think of any freeware off the top of my head though.

 

If you want it to play as a DivX file you just need to get a compatible DVD player.

 

He wants to convert the Divx file though. The software I mentioned can do that.

OK, well if you want to convert it, go to afterdawn.com and search their forums for how to convert a DivX file to a standard AVI file and burn the image with Nero or something like that.

 

If your DVD player supports DivX (has the logo) just burn the file onto a disk and you're good.

If not, you're going to have to convert it to a vcd or svcd with a program like tmpgenc and it'll take 2 cds.

 

Ok, that's what I was thinking, as I think that's what my dad was. Wasn't sure.

 

He is burning it to a DVD, not CDs. You only need one DVD-R.
