Originally, Disney had the idea a few years back to turn 3 Disney attractions into movies. The ones they picked were: The Country Bears Jamboree (Oh God, why?!) [This movie went and came. A failure.] Pirates of the Caribbean (Doing really good so far!) The Haunted Mansion (Looks awesome!) Brief Synopsis: Eddie Murhpy stars as Jim Evers, a real estate agent who's stranded with his family in a cursed mansion that holds a dead bride and groom, and 999 grim grinning ghosts. They have to get the hell out before the clock strikes 13...but it ain't easy when you've got disappearing rooms, falling floors, and moving pictures...and that's just for starters! In theatres this Thanksgiving!!! Check the trailer out at the official site below: The Haunted Mansion
I saw the preview for that when I saw Pirates Of The Carribean. It looks really good and most likely I will go see that. The only thing I don't like about it is Eddy Murphy being in it. I just don't like him that much. :argh: Oh well.
The ride itself wasn't scary (especially when I sat with my friend who had been on the ride twenty times before) but the effects were cool. the movie should be good. Just as long as Disney doesn't make a ride out of Space Mountain anytime soon The Country Bears...LAME!! What the hell was Disney thinking???
They weren't thinking. From the trailer itself for this movie, it seems as thought it'll be a comedic-action type of movie...well of course comedy with Murphy in it. But from what I heard, that's how the Pirates movie is - funny and action packed! This movie looks so cool! I love the ride too!!!! I almost know the entire spiel by heart.
He's pretty funny...not the greatest, but I mean, you gotta give up for his voicing of Donkey from Shrek.
He was also good in Trading Places. I LOVE that movie XD From the one time that I saw it, it doesn't look hard to memorize the whole spiel. i memorized the jurassic park ride at islands of adventure ;;
I saw the trailer. It looks good but at the same time it looks like a movie for kids. Something like casper. I hope it's not. I want to see more trailers and some clips to if it's good. In the meantime can somebody tell me what's so good about this movie?
It's based from a ride that's like almost 50 years old; a classic Disneyland attraction. Imagine being a fan of a ride that finally gets a movie debut? Come on, this movie idea is genius!
