Teaser trailer can be seen here: http://us.rd.yahoo.com/movies/trail...08475612&f=1808475612&mspid=1809793170&type=t I'm excited!
Hmm, I'm not as excited. Maybe when the official trailer comes out. But thanks for the heads up. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
I think JK Rowling's taking it too far though. The long delay between each movie or each book...she may think it builds up excitement, but in reality people are just starting to grow out of it completly. I mean, I first read her books, what, 6 years ago? And by that tie 3 or more books had come out already! Sheesh Anyway, apart from Dan Radcliffe, I'll look forward to the movie, because visuvalizing books excites me. Hmm...
Do you have ANY IDEA how long it takes to put her whole story line together the way she does? She's had these books planned, yes. But now she has to put it all together, add detail and side plots and twists. You try sitting down and writing a book that long and that in depth in under a year. You won't be able to do it, I'll guarantee. Plus she has children and a family and a LIFE. She can't just write every waking moment of her life. Anyway. Here's a very good sneak preview of the movie from the-leaky-cauldron.org. It was taken from an HBO ondemand special that aired on 11/20/06. WARNING: FILLED WITH SPOILERS. WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK. http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/videogallery/video/show/562
I honestly can't wait 'til the movie comes out! I saw the 4min long teaser on Google vid and I almost started jumping around... I'm not expecting the movie to be good, but I just hope that it's decent. The movies can never beat the books, I mean, many of the characters in the movie are not at all how I imagined them. For exampel: Dolores Umbridge, she just doesn't have that sick & twisted expression that I imagined her with. But, everyone imagines stuff differently... so I can't really blame the director. I really hope that they made Ron a little less stupid in this one... they've made him way too dumb in the earlier movies. Still a very long time 'til the movie comes out, though... now that sucks.
I was very excited when the first movie came out and it forfilled all of my expectation. The second one I saw on dvd and it was pretty good, I guess. Saw the third one on tv, nothing compared to the book. Haven't seen the fourth one, though. Which I think should have been the best movie of the series so far in my opinion. The Order Of The Phoenix should be brilliant. Haven't read the whole book because somehow the ends always bore me (after the villian is defeated I mean)...
You know what? ...I can't argue with that. And i guess I just spoke out as a frustrated exHP fan, and yeah, I do understand it is difficult to complete HP7...maybe I put my hand before my mind in typing that out.
The only comments I'll make other than the one I've already made is that Emma Watson has gotten hot and if Rupert Grint isn't a stoner then my names Jeremy.
Hahaha nice.^^ What I hate is when I hear people judge Harry Potter based on the movies when they haven't read the books. The movies, while decent attempts in my opinion, can't add up because there's just way too much in the books to fit in. The fourth movie did justice to Voldemort, although the ending and some of the plot progression was lame (WTF to the band playing at the ball lol). I'm hoping the 5th movie really complements the book..but that might be hard with such a ton of material and important information to put onscreen.
I read on a little blurb while watching G4 (don't ask me why, there was nothing on), and it said that the next HP movie (Half-Blood Prince) is going to be out on Thanksgiving weekend of 2008.
