I know this is kind of late, but I only found it recently. So, evidently, when U2 and Green Day performed together at the first Monday Night Football Game (correct me if I'm wrong), they collaborated together and performed a song called "The Saints Are Coming". This song was actually a cover of an older a song by a Scottish band (I think). I listened to this a few times and I believe it's an amazing song. And I really don't see how you cannot respect both bands on this part. I know many of my friends who love Green Day and hate U2 and then some who love U2 and hate Green Day. In this situation, it's impossible not respect them both. It was a great collaborative effort. What do you guys think?
Yep, a Scottish band called The Skids I was surprised that they sounded good together. I didn't expect it at all because I think Green Day is a pretty good band but I don't like U2 at all, so it was a pleasant surprise. I liked it, so I think that both bands did a good job. It was also for charity, so that's also a good thing.
The song? It's not really my thing, but it's interesting to hear them collaborate. The video? I hate it.
Sounds pretty good. Normally, I don't like U2 but I like Green Day. And here they seem to sound surprisingly well together.
i normally think U2 are bacially... meh, and green day is great. but they worked really well together, i loved it. video couldve been better though.
