if u have listened to the version of that hivoltage where there is a verse for chester, where he sings: "sometimes i feel like a prophet..." u must then have come across a bridge kinda part where a guy says: "it's constantly changing. it's constantly evolving"......i think LP threw a message to the fans that their sound will keep on changing (we can see that already with the upcoming album). doesnt it sound cool that they have, 6-7 years before stated that their sound will change??
I think you've over analysed it a bit. I think what LP is referring to is that eventualy all styles of music evolve into more complexed styles. Take Hip-Hop for example, when that genre was first introduced you can hear and see a significant difference in sound and image compared to the Hip-Hop of today. LP couldn't possibly know what their music is gonna sound like 6-7 years before they've done the tracks however they probably do know that they as a band will step up their talents significantly throughout their careers together.
Don't read that much into it. Their music did evolve from Hybrid Theory EP -> Hybrid Theory. Then to Reanimation ... when you think about it. It was just stating the obvious, pretty much.
No it's prophet Percides it would be an oxymoron saying sometimes I feel like I'm constantly misunderstood''
it's the same guy saying 'put a label on a life, put a label on a lifestyle...." in the begining of the song. if u hear between the sounds (i guess) u'll notice the guy talking again about the sound evolving.
what it sounds like is "Sometimes i feel like i'm constantly misunderstood, under the gun, like a new desease......"
ive been trying to work that out, i think its "Sometimes i feel like a prophet; misunderstood. I've got a tongue, like a new desease"
It's "Sometimes I feel like a prophet, misunderstood, under the gun, like a new disease." I really don't see how you guys could misunderstand those lyrics... they're pretty easy to hear...
Gah, I didn't realize this was a necropost. Oops for approving your above post. Anyway, please don't necropost threads. Thank you!
