Although I thought at first my friend was kidding around with me, I'm afraid to say that the above post title is indeed true. Sometime earlier this week, while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef; Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin was killed in a diving accident involving a sting ray. It almost feels kinda surreal. After all, this guy has survived being bitten by crocs, being poisoned by spiders and snakes, and yet he dies from a sting ray barb to the heart. It's a tragedy alright, he was quite an entertaining guy whom alot of actors now immitate in comedy's etc. After all the crocodile business he ends up getting killed by a stingray... Nevertheless it's pretty fucked up, R.I.P Steve Irwin.

Who cares if you didn't like his work or whatever, he had children and a family, if you don't want to pay respect to Steve at least show some for his family & friends. I've dived with Sting Rays in the Great Barrier Reef and they won't even come near you unless you provoke them. I never heard of anyone being attacked by them unprovoked. Knowing Steve Irwin, and after seeing how he winds-up snakes, crocodiles and any other creatures he comes across, it's his own fault. I'm not saying "good riddance" or "i'm glad he's dead". But Jeez, he has a family, he should have been more careful. R.I.P indeed.

Saw it on the news today. I didn't really know the guy but he left his wife and kids behind so that's really tough. Really can't believe what happened like Derek said, he survived a lot of stuff.
I've watched him since I was 4. I used to run around my house in kahki's holding a rubber snake yelling "CRIKEY HE'S A BIG ONE!" I cried when I found out. This is a terrible loss. RIP - THE CROCODILE HUNTER
This is unbelieveable. He was kind of one of those people who seemed like he could never die, like he was some type of superhero who's cheated death countless times but always came out alright, and then the most far-fetched thought of death takes his life. It's really unfortunate... RIP Steve.
Although I never really found him all that entertaining, I must say, he was a pretty cool guy. Sucks that he didn't go out fighting a crocodile to save his family or something but nonetheless RIP Crikey!
