The solo in "Knights of Cydonia" is godly. Just listened to the title track from 'Showbiz". The beginning reminds me of a Tool song. This is probably one of my favorite Muse tracks.
I like Muse, and particularly admire the guitar and bass work. Not to mention "Time Is Running Out" is my favorite song to sing karaoke-style.
as a whole hoenstly i still dont believe its that good....origin of symmertry and absoloution produced so much higher standard then BH&R...
Black Holes And Revelations is great. I don't care much for the previous albums as wholes though, but they do include some of the band's best individual songs (Sunburn, Darkwaves, The Small Print, and a few others that don't spring to mind right now).
Does anyone know what helium3.mu is? It's on the back of the Muse CD case. It shows up this page with links that you have to sign in or something? What is it supposed to be?
Muse was not to long ago introduced to me by a good friend, and I just feel in love with them. He played the bass line from Hysteria and i was blown away. I have a toss up between Absolution, and Black Holes and Revelations for my favorite album. And since I am still a new fan to them, i did not know there was a musical album of absolution. I shall have to look into that.
"Origin of Symmetry" and "Showbiz" are two albums you're going to need to check out, .vicious. They're glorious.
Muse is certainly one of the bands in my top five. When I first heard their Showbiz cd, it was like a revelation because finally a band with originality and talent is here. I love how Matt Bellamy uses both classical music and crazy guitar rips in the same song. Definitely original, and definitely a good listen.
I can't decide if Matt's a better guitarist or pianist. He's pretty nuts at both, ever see Butterflies and Hurricanes live? Amazing stuff.
Hey I can actually hear Chris' backing vocals for once! But yeah, first time I heard songs like this it made me realize that bands can still be like Rush, Pink Floyd, and Queen, and still make it in the music business. Needless to say it was a huge relief.
I've made a top 10 list of Muse songs from their previious four albums. I haven't heard enough of the 60+ b-sides to make an overall top 10. 01. Bliss 02. Time Is Running Out 03. Stockholm Syndrome 04. Butterflies and Hurricanes 05. Knights of Cydonia 06. New Born 07. Map of the Problematique 08. Showbiz 09. Plug-In Baby 10. Hysteria
I deffinetly have Origin of Symmetry, but i dont listen to it as often as it deserves to be played. And as for Showbiz...I didnt manage to get a copy of it yet, so thats still on my to do list.
I've been listening to them a lot more recently, and it has to be said that Dominic deserves as much credit for his drumming as Matt and Chris get.
