New Album Release Pushed Back

Wait didn't LP have a contract dispute with WB last year? Didn't that get settled?

Anyway I remember when we were waiting for Meteora, LP prevented piracy from Kazaa by releasing song files that were just the band members speaking about the album. Maybe they will do that again.

Also, I wonder if they will continue to prevent their next album from being sold on iTunes, because I think it was because of that decision that Meteora sold over 800,000 copies in the first week.

 

Can't LP just release a single at least???

but honestly, like I understand that LP is striving for quality and hey more power to them, but like honestly they should really let the fans know about these delays earlier; instead of shooting for a summer release, they should have pushed the release date even further to give them breathing space, because this comes off as LP being slightly lazy, which is definitely not the circumstance.

LP if any of you guys are reading this (which is highly unlikely) PLEAAASEEEEEE release something to treat us for being patient

but theyre not lazy?n theyre perfecting there album? how is that being lazy. Mike is a workaholic? didnt u kno that... he even said himself "sometimes i just need to take a break because i kno ive been pushing myself to hard" man come on if anything that linkin park IS NOT thats lazy!

 

Im kind of torn about this. On the one hand, I know that they're just perfecting the album. I know that this is actually good in the long run because it will just make the album better.

But at the same time, im really angry at them. I mean, we've been waiting for 3 years for a new album. And they keep pushing back the release date. I really dont understand how they could have this much more work to do on the album if they've been working as hard as they say they have been, for as long as they say they have been.

Well, this album had better be great.

Good to heard, but still hoped that they would release it earlier. Well let's hope it's the best album ever! Be patient, it'll be worth it I hope.

i have a feeling that this album is goin to come out somewhere in march like meteora did, which means it took them 4 years to make this album. I dont really understand how it takes that long, I understand Mike did his Fort Minor Project but i feel like maybe he should of held off on that until linkin park was able to get back out there. I also know about the Warner Bros. thing but shouldent they have like years worth of material. Anyways lp is still may all time favorite band and i guess im just goin to have to suck it up until this album drops.

 

Anyone been thinking about new album artwork??

I'm anxious to see what they call it, and what it'll look like, as far as artwork and overall design. Probably something similar to the artwork in TRT, but with more input from the other band members. Maybe a mix of R3AN!M4T!0N (<Haha... sweet) and TRT... guess we'll have to wait and see...

Just because someone's hard at work on something doesn't mean it's going to be finished within a set number of weeks.

Just wait until you come to that point in your life where you're writing a thesis for college—those take damn near forever, sometimes years, and you're constantly working hard on them.
