Hello! I'm new here! Just thought I'd share my thoughts a bit... I do agree that Breaking The Habit is speacial, so is Numb, so even if they DO make it their next single, I hope they won't! So we can have it all to ourselves... hehehe As a matter of fact, b4 Faint was released, it was my fave song, then one day i heard it on the radio, and soon it became EVERYONE's favourite song! And i was pissed the whole day and couldn't figure out why until I realised i wanted the song all to myself! so yeah, i know the feeling of keeping it special.... now i don't like it as much cos it lost all it's meaning while caught in commercialisation! ok, crapping a bit too much here, sorry! ok that's all, bye!
hey! i agree with the fact that "Numb" and "Breaking The Habit" can't be singles...they r too...wat should i say...personal...or hmmm...aah 4get it...i can't think of the "perfect" word for it i hope "Don't Stay" or "Easier To Run" are the next ones...i can't wait till the next single is released... some1 told me that there'll be a Reanimation 2 with remixed songs frm "Meteora"...is that true????
Linkin Park are planning a DVD/CD combo for November. The DVD will most likely be a Frat Party At The Pancake Festival type DVD. The CD will most likely contain Meteora remix's as well as Meteora B-Sides. The CD will probably not contain remix's for all the Meteora tracks, however.
Personally, id like the next single to be a little slower and maybe a little more tame, ie. either easier to run, or from the inside. Both SIB and Faint have Mike rapping the verses and Chester doing the choruses and bridges, and i think they should change it up for the next single and release a song like FTI or ETR. ie. with Chester doing verses. (something like Crawling). However, I would really like Lying From You to be a single too, and i jes have this feeling it will be next.
im agreeing with the fact that BTH is personal, just like Numb. If anybody wants to hear the songs..buy the CD. i do believe that the critics would have a field day on BTH too because the band does have a reputation, although it probably would crack open the issue and cause some AWARENESS for it. thats all for now im tired
Numb is probably gonna be the next single cuz Mike said so and the video will get released soon, you'll see... Anyone who thinks Breaking The Habit is "pop" doesn't know what they're talking about. Read the lyrics, don't just hear but listen to the vocals, and listen to every instrument played in the song. Breaking The Habit is not a "pop" song. I'm happy Numb will be the next single, it's one of the better songs on the album. Why would Linkin Park want to release one of the least best songs on the album as a single (Hit The Floor, Nobody's Listening), would that really make sense to promoting an album and getting it to sell as much as possible? Remember fans, this is also a business...
i think after Numb is a single, Don't Stay would really help out on album sales..The song just gets you in a hype-mode, no matter how your feeling.
Tho Nobody's Listening is a "wierd", but great, track, i think it'd be a great succes in today's rap- obessed world. Not to mention NL is a fresh, different track.
I hope that Numb is the next single. It's really crawling-ish and I think that it's really pretty (was left speechless the first time I heard mike rap "Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow ").... Easier to Run is a great song but I can't see it as a single. I really would like to see Lying from You or Hit the Floor as singles. I love both of these songs, Lying from You is a sweet track and Hit The Floor is such a good song to listen to when you're pissed off at somebody. Oh right and Nobody's Listenning is a weird (weird = good thing!) song and I lurve it but I'm not sure how successful it would be as a single....
I thought ETR > Faint > Numb will be singles after SIB. But now I think the singles will be as follows, 1. SIB ( already a single) 2. Faint (already a single) 3. Numb (coming out in september) 4. Don't Stay (mike said it'll be) 5. ETR or Lying From You (if there's gonna be a 5th single) (I just hope one of these 2 will be singles)
