This is quite hard to come up good hardcore, IMO almost an anti-thesis but there are some bands that break the mold:

Between the Buried and Me (incredible!)
    Avenged Sevenfold (their old stuff)
    The Fall of Troy

I'm not the biggest fan of hardcore, but I like PenKnifeLoveLife, He Is Legend (I guess that's hardcore?) and Dillinger Escape Plan. (I don't even know if that's remotely considered "hardcore")

Franny, is the band you mentioned, The Hills Have Eyes, with the guy from Fall Of Troy?

Dillinger would fall into the Technical/Extreme Metal or Math Metal category, like Meshuggah.

He does the vocals live I believe. He's not "fully" in the band.

Eh, they're technically inclined but they're still a hardcore band.

I like The Number Twelve Looks Like You. Yep.

Hmm, this may be just post-hardcore, I'm not really sure, but Alesana is an amazing band.

Across Five Aprils are excellent too.

The Bronx? I don't know whether they're hardcore or not, but they're worth listening to anyway if you haven't already.

If you consider He Is Legend as hardcore you might what to check out These Arms Are Snakes. They sound kind of simular (to me at least).

Fall Of Troy are awesome too.

Not totally hardcore, more like hardcore/metal/hip-hop/jazz fusion, but:
