Videocards and Notebooks

    Can you use a videocard for a desktop PC in a laptop?

    I'm not 100% sure...but I'm gonna say no. Look at some of the high-end cards out there (my ATI Radeon X1900 comes to mind)...they're wider than the fucking laptop itself :lol: Most laptops use 'shared memory', which incurs a large performance hit...some have a dedicated video processor, but I'm fairly sure that they use another format other than the full-size card that a desktop uses.

    100% you can't. Waayy too big. no AGP/PCI-e slots in laptops either :p
