In a story reported by The Ironton Tribune today, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were stopped Sunday night by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and cited for drug possession. Troopers found RVD in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, while Sabu was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances. They were both cited and then posted bond. They are scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court. No word on what, if any, punishment will be served up by WWE. == Raise your hand if you think this is shocking?
I mean come on, who didn't at least think that RVD smoked? Anybody? Exactly. He wasnt slick with his shit and now he'll get suspended/fired and be on probation if not go to jail.
There's not a chance he's going to jail for this. The most he'll get is a fine. He won't get fired either. Neither will Sabu. The chokeslam on the chair was probably the start of an injury angle to get RVD off of TV. And the promo video for Sabu was the beginning of a re-hyping phase because he's suspended as well. Chris Masters didn't get fired for using steroids. Granted, he wasn't caught with them by law enforcement or anything, but still.
By god Raw sucked ass until that main event. And CM PUNK PROMO ON ECW, i thought i'd never see the day.
ECW.com reported that RVD was "suspended" for 30 days. And yeah, the show blew ass...except for the 10 seconds that we saw Punk...I marked out like a little bitch.
PWInsider is reporting that Kurt Angle has been suspended for 30 days. EDIT: It's been confirmed that Kurt Angle is/was, obviously, addicted to prescribed painkillers.
Actually, from what i'm hearing from the house reports at let's say the ECW arena or in places where ECW was ECW...Punk was actually the ones that got a good response from the crowd. Hammerstein is going to be a little tricky though, but I think that the people that know what Punk can do is the reason why. Now, let's see Punk vs. Angle god dammit
I read that yesterday. Absolutely amazing news. I hope that they have a fued with Kendrick & London somewhere down the road. If that happens, I'm definitely going to become a wrestling fan again for sure.
I may have to start watching wrestling again, the only reason I stopped was because Jeff Hardy was not there anymore... I always wanted to be like him when I was younger. =P
The only thing about Jeff returning is that I'm sure Matt said he wanted to be a singles wrestler from now on. Although, this will probably be better for him, at least it will give him something to do and it may even give the tag division some credibility.
