Once again, new footage of Linkin Park before they were signed to a record label or released their debut album has surfaced. The following videos are rehearsal footage from the band back in 1999. If you look closely, you'll see Kyle Christner on bass performing with the band before they brought back Phoenix to handle bass duties. Video one has an in-studio performance of "Esaul" along with band member testimonials in which they explain their sound. The second video focuses on Joe Hahn's contributions to the band's sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaN1W71asjk&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLOQ97SQLPE&mode=related&search= Source: LP Fuse Thanks to Paul!
I think the best part is when Chester flips out about the parking ticket. Something tells me he wasn't kidding .
haha that was pretty funny when chester flipped out lol but anyway, i think joe has a great scratching technique
Kyle makes some intense facial expresions. This is pretty cool. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR THIS BRAD? I'm sorry brah. Haha
It's so awkward watching this video and knowing they will later become the best selling band of the 21st centuary.
Good question, actually. Maybe it was filmed by a friend of the band back in '99 and they decided to release it.
I always thought that Chester screamed when he was pissed. But really, after getting used to him screaming, what he does with the parking ticket is way more intense. Very amusing though. Felt sorry for Brad for a sec. EDIT: And I was actually diggin' the one clip of the second song they had on there... never heard it before, or I'm just going crazy and forgetting stuff.
Humble beginings Awesome vids. TY Mark. I hear ya on the irony too...As soon as Chester said 'How the hell am I gonna pay for this', I smiled like, Don't worry man..It's all gonna be ok.
I know where it came from... yea, its from a very old version of In The End, i have it downloaded from somewhere, i think it was when they were Xero...
I finally got around to watching those vids. It made me feel all weird. Just watching that old footage and seeing where they are now is just a mind-fuck. The whole "broke" thing was funny too. Poor guys. Now they're insanely rich.
