Lost Lost inside a fog, Just wandering aimlessly, With no cause or destiny, I yearn to escape. The mist rushes through me, Like a lost and forgotten drug, A drug that I depend on, A drug that I truly need. It’s no silly addiction, It fuels my life, It powers my body, It is part of me. You can’t separate it from me, We have now become one, Intertwined like no other, Inseparable to the death. At last the fog settles, But I yearn for more, As the sun shines, And paints the forest golden. I am finally renewed, For the sunshine heals, And I bask in it, And mend my aching wounds. Far better than the drug, I accept the light, Make it my own, And move on from the fog. I escape the forest, I break away from the fog, I leave trees behind, I start over again.
Another great one! You're really good at writing these...poems? songs? I love it. Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
Not really my style, I dig on couplets. Easy, but sometimes they can be awesome. Great use of language, though.
Thanks for da feedback, always appreciated. Also, I'm more of a paragraph/verse kinda guy, like trying to make em into songs. Couplets are hard for me.
It's really good. Maybe you should consider just making one thread for all of your poems instead of different ones.
