Meet the next big thing to come out of this shitty state/city I call my home. (Hawthorne Heights has drifted away, I guess) They call themselves The Devil Wears Prada. They label themselves as "Hardcore/Metal/Christian". To be honest, I hated them. Then a friend of mine gave me a burned copy of their EP, "Patterns of a Horizon," I listened to it, and found that it wasn't all that bad for what it was -- lot's of screaming, lot's of snare drums, and more screaming. They'll probably appeal to people who like UnderOATH (my friends say they're like *old Underoath* which apparently is some sort of godlike thing on this board, so you guys might want to check them out), or those other hardcore bands. They're on a nationwide tour now, their first, and they were recently signed to Rise Records, a part of Victory, and will be releasing their first full-length album, "Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord" on August 22nd. Here are there PureVolume and Myspace pages, and if anyone wants their EP, I may be able to distribute it via torrent or a certain P2P program that has a name that includes a citrus fruit.
Isnt that Orangewhore? Oops, mistaking it with something else. Owing to my poor knowledge and taste in music, I can't really get their sound (lam hearing a song, dunno the name) because...it's wierd. I like the beats though.
I used to be into music like this but I've grown out of it. The instrumentals are pretty good but I can't stand the screaming.
This band sounds like every other cookie cutter hardcore/grindcore band that's trying way to hard. It's just verse, chorus, verse, breakdown, verse, back to breakdown. They make me want to projectile vomit. The name sucks just as much as the music.
It's LimeWire, dammit. It was late and I was tired and couldn't remember if I'd get banned for naming certain P2P programs or not. haha Meghna, trust me, you're not really missing out on anything big, I don't particularly care for them either.
Its splashed right there on their page in HUGE font: WE KNOW THAT THE DEVIL WEARS PRAda iS amovie...blah, blah..and loud blahs...
Well, I have to admit, I think the music is great, but I can never really stand listening to a song that is all out screaming, lol. So, music=great, vocals=annoying.
