    From Blabbermouth.net
15 Tracks is a good amount. But they'll probably release a load of re-releases like Ascendancy every few months that have a few extra tracks

They can keep the Skid Row/Motley Crue and Def Leppard-sounding songs.

    Amen.

Not that I'm the biggest fan of Trivium to really care. But I'll probably give this album a listen.

I like Trivium. Technical isn't always better though. I hope they didn't go in too over their heads.

God, I can't wait. It sounds amazing.

Hopefully they don't go overboard with solos. I liked the solos in Ascendancy, but some I felt were so long they kind of just prolonged the song for no reason... Not that I'm complaining, though.

I'm sure they've done just fine, though. No matter what, I'll be picking this up the day it hits store shelves. *giddy*

For anyone who's interested a live audio of 'Detonation' which will be on the crusade is up for download on triviumworld.com. It was recorded from Rock Am Ring.

I hated that the first time I listened to it, the second time I enjoyed it. Matt Heafy needs his mouth washed out though. :p

That's surprising considering the album isn't far off finished.

What do you mean, they said they started mixing it which will take a few weeks. Should be completed by July/August.

It's not much of a difference, but I would've thought it would be released by September at the latest.

I'm slightly worried about this album...if the entire album is gonna be like Detonation with hardly any screaming in it then it's not gonna be anywhere near good as Ascendancy...

Detonation sounds ok.. it sounds like one of those songs that will sound a thousand times better on CD though.

EDIT: Scratch that. I fucking love this.

Matt said he's not going to scream nearly as much. He's going to focus on songs that are vocally-driven, like "Dying in Your Arms."

In other words, he said he's going to be using more Hetfield-esque vocals.

Which his vocals actualy sound a lot like Hetfields, instead of those bands that say they'll be more like him, but turn out nothing like him at all.

To be honest I think songs like Dying In Your Arms are good but for a band like Trivium they shouldn't be the dominant style of vocals on the album. I'm already expecting this album to be somewhat of a let down compared to Acsendancy, which fast became one of my favorite albums ever.

I just got done watching their performance of "Pull Harder..." from Rock AM Ring... And I got to say... Heafy went soft on us, man... I understand Trivium want to possibly go in a different direction, but I was disappointed not to hear Heafy scream at all.

Anyways, I'm not going to judge their new stuff until I hear it in its entirety, but I'm not really diggin' "Detonation" at the moment. Maybe it'll grow on me.
