Don't know much about hardware, but something is wrong with the 'red colour' of my monitor. Sometimes red shows, sometimes there's no red so everything comes in shades of blue and green which is REALLY annoying :pcwhack:
Is some wire broken, or something? Is there any way I can fix it myself? Sometimes if I whack the area near the PC then the fcolor comes back, but mostly it comes and goes on it's own...

Make sure the monitor is plugged all the way into the graphics card, and make sure the monitor's cable is secure going into the monitor.

Hitting the monitor is bad...it can make it worse.

Yeah, it's usually something like that.

Make sure you screw the connector tight. Try wiggling it around until the colour is restored. Just don't hit the computer or monitor. Won't do you any good but damange it more.

Could the wire/ card be broken or something? Anyway, what all connections should I check? Thanks for the advice.

Ok, I tried today. I shoved it in as far as the damn connections could go. Its somewhat dusty and musty down there, I'm assuming thats the reason, and everything has to be cleaned out well before it works. Meanwhile, it's still fluctuating. I'll try once more, but I guess I'll have to leave it to a proffesional if it doesnt work.
it's slightly better though. Thanks a ton for your help!

Also unplug those and make sure a pin isn't bent sideways.
