haha, Dillinger's pretty funny band. I have to agree even still, though... IMO, it just sounds like noise. I can't stand music like that. A7X actually has melody in some songs. Just my opinion.
Yeah, that Ritalincore type music Actually, listen to Unretrofied...that is probably the DEP's best work there.
Everybody who hates them uses the Guns N Roses excuse so that was pretty weak. However, the names they made up were pretty funny. I'll give them that.
I've never really listened to DEP, so I can't comment on which one is better. Although I don't particularly care for Avenged Sevenfold, except a small handful of songs off of "Waking The Fallen". I don't like anything before that, or after that. I think all these bands just need to make one big joint record like Michael Jackson and all those people did back in the 80s for AIDS. Except they sing kumbyyah. And as far as the Guns N' Roses comparison, they basically set themselves up for that with their latest videos/some of their new album. I mean, they've turned into image whores, just like a certain band by the name of Guns N' Roses.
Looking at most of A7X's photo shoots you could argue that they try too hard to achieve an image similar to GN'R. I don't mind A7X's music anyway, I just thought whoever posted that on Dillinger's myspace raised some good points, and because I'm actually a fan of DEP I'm naturally going to be biased towards them.
Yeah, IMO Dillinger have a lot more cred to me they are incredible musicians...and they play for the music and the energy...A7X has written some good stuff but they can be gimmicky and to talk shit like that about Dillinger just speaks ignorance to me. You can have an opinion but thats just bashing. I won't be offended by people who don't like Dillinger, its very much an acquired taste! IMO though Calculating Infinity probably remains the craziest, sickest album ever made.
Avenged Sevenfold are the biggest sellouts ever. No doubt about it. And Matt Shadows is to cocky and full of himself for his own good.
Avenged are more talented musicians, and in my opinion make better music than DEP. Was kind of dumb of m.shadows to go out and say that though.
If America had heard Helloween in time, they'd avoided A7X's invasion nowadays. And pretty much DEP own them in every possible way. All three records they've released have pretty much covered all extreme metal and hardcore.
