Have they fixed that problem...oh which one was it. Oh yeah. The frigging thing used a crazy amount of resources when you started it. And I have a fairly decent computer, so it's not that.
On my laptop its currently using 24MB, it isn't that different from the past version though i think it looks better. And there are more features and things but havn't really bothered with them yet. Also IE7 Beta is available Here
I used to have it about 3 months ago. I'd sign in, and the window would just...hang there for about a minute before logging in. every time. Speaking of loggin in, tomi just signed in
Does anyone recommend upgrading to the Beta? Is it any better. I've read what's new but is it really any different?
IE7 is a lame attempt at copying Firefox. Currently WLM is at ~54,000k, but then again, I have the Plus! beta running. *whistles* And yes, the beta used to be really *beta* because it was soo buggy. Luckily they've fixed a lot of things since. Read the blog for a list of new features, etc. They say a lot in there. And if anyone finds a bug, I wouldn't mind if you reported it to me, as I'm a managed beta tester.
to tell you the truth, it isn't really worth it. I have had MSN Live BETA for a few months now, and i have never really liked it that much. The only thing i can praise is the nice skin but if it's nice skins your after, you can get much better ones on msn plug-in sites.
I find that WLM is better than older versions when it comes to networking or at leasr thats my experience with it. On the uni's connection it is alot more stable than older versions which would sign out when the connection started to drop out but I have yet to have this happen since using WLM. And can I just warn people against upgrading to the beta version of Windows Media Player 11 if you want to play HD-WMV files it doesn't play them. It will give you audio but no picture.
Sorry but what? Maybe im missing something but what does that have to do with the thread (or anything as far as I know).
She probably posted in the wrong topic accidentally and didn't notice. Oh well. *shrug* I wonder what the gift for this beta'll be. Last year was a webcam, so I can't think of what they can give this year...Maybe one of those new phones. I doubt it.
Im gussing you've signed up as an official beta tester then Tomi, do you know if its still possible to sign up as one.
