Zao doesn't fit with these bands at ALL, but at least they're coming to Canada.

Atreyu toured with Taking Back Sunday before. I'm getting pretty used to bands touring outside their genre.

I think it should be done more often.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers/Kanye West tour would've been amazing.

So Zao is pretty much the only oddball here, right?

That would make it worth the 70$ they're charging on their fall tour.
I'm undecided on whether I'll go, but I definitely will if I become a Mars Volta fan.

@Cameron: can you find a link to the tour dates and locations?

I know I'm off-topic, but surely the tickets aren't actually $70, are they?
I might just wait until Mars Volta headline a tour for their new record, if that's the case.

No, I didn't find any. I'll look around BleedZao to see if they posted any since I was there last.

Would be worth seeing SOTY and Zao as both have amazing live sets.

Never heard Halifax or Anberlin, and I don't like Hawthorne Heights.

But you're right it's an odd mix: Metalcore,Punk, emo and whatever the others are.

Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, Korn, The Used, Less than Jake.

That was sorta odd, in my opinion.

Zao isn't really that great in my opinon. But yeah, I'd go for Anberlin. Story of the Year kidna got boring live.

I thought SOTY were great live when I saw them.. They had so much charasma and got the crowd involved... and their cover of 50 Cent's candy shop was just genious.

Metalcore and emo kind of go together (ie Thrice), and since emo is a break-off of punk, then all three actually can be grouped together. Also, Vans Warped Tours has been lumping together totally different bands from those three genres for years. Thrice, AFI, Motion City Soundtrack, and Simple Plan have all been on the Warped tour.
