I understand where hes coming from...
Personally, I think that he is pissed about he actual downloading as well as the quality, although now that theres a decent quality leak....
For myself I will wait, it'll be my birthday present from someone, and if not i'll buy it anyway. Also, i don't like the old old stuff like Give It Away, i dont think its a good sound. I prefer the softer stuff...so I might like this album more

I used to think very similar. About when BTW came out, I was really confused. But I soon started digging it. Especially after I started listening to Frusciante's solo work.

I guess we all have our own opinions, but hey, RHCP is RHCP. They've been a band for longer than most of us have been alive.

EDIT: I find this quote from Flea amusing:

I really like the new album. I especially like the 'Jupiter' disc with "Dani California", "Stadium Arcadium", and "Snow (Hey Oh)". "21st Century" is a great track off the 'Mars' disc.

I'm still committing myself to waiting until the album is officially released and in my hands before buying it.

I've waited for all the other RHCP albums (that I've been alive for) to come out, and this is no exception.

But I AM listening to Dani California over and over again.

I actually managed to wait till today to buy the album. Shit, I'm surprised I didn't download the leak. Glad I didn't. It's well worth the $19.99+tax. :D

Hell yes. This album is awesome. I think the Jupiter disc is better. Although it is a hard choice to chose...

After listening to the whole 2 discs... I don't even know which one is better. They both are kickass. I could have wished a little more rapping though. But this album is great.

I'll probably buy it tomorrow or Saturday.
I'm getting into Dani California more, and I haven't downloaded it, so I'll just buy it.

Can't stop listening to this album. Although, I don't know how many times the tune of 'Hump De Bump' has been made into a song. Wasn't it in The New Guy?

    Almost died there...

well, just so we can avoid another 'Official' thread, I'm just going to post RHCP stuff in here.

I found this really cool clip of Frusciante covering the Bee Gee's song How Deep Is Your Love live. I love the original song and this one is definitely up to par.

Wow, I didn't know John could sing like that. Great cover ! I like his voice better than Anthony's. :p

Tomi, $ 15.99 in Edmonton. The one thing I hate is how everybody says Mars sucks. My friend, who claims to be a hardcore Chili's fan, refuses to listen to the second disc. I personaly think both parts are stelar.

Ahh.. nice stuff. Thanks Minus. John has a great voice. I wouldn't mind some lead vocals on a chilis album in the future.

Red Hot Chili Peppers rip off Tom Petty? This isn't like other allegations, the songs are the fucking same. The melody, the music, everything.
