New Lupe Demo Song Produced by Mike Shinoda Released!

    We here at the Linkin Park Association are proud to bring you an exclusive demo track by Lupe Fiasco produced by Linkin Park's very own Mike Shinoda titled "Never Lies", brought to us by a very good friend of the site.

    Currently slated as one of the many songs planned for release on Lupe Fiasco's upcoming CD, this song has been pegged as a demo release, and therefore should not be considered as the final version of the song. As of now Mike Shinoda is only listed as producer of this track, and does not drop a verse during the entire length of the song. As to whether or not this will actually change in the final version is yet to be known.

    One of the best by Lupe I've heard yet. Probably the best.

    This song is dope as hell, and I know Lupe said a long time ago that Mike would be working on/featured on his album, but...I dunno, I've listened to this song for like the last couple hours, and I still think the singing sounds more like Jonah Matranga than Mike. I know Jonah's not on the album, but I'm just saying...it really doesn't sound like Mike. =/

    Well as far as I know it's Mike.

    And also I believe Jonah would be more in tune <_<, lol.

    I still don't hear Mike in the chorus, heh. Tasta's right about it sounding like Jonah.

    the chorus really doesn't sounds like Mike. cool song though.

    The beat sounds like something Mike would create (especially the break near the end), so maybe that's where he's featured (since I don't think that's him in the chorus either). but I've never really listened to much of Lupe's music, though I definately will now.

    Interesting song. I love the beat and the chorus. It is really awesome although I don't really get Mike's part. The voice sounds different from the one we all know, but it's still cool.
    Hopefully Mike will drop a verse in the full version.

    i come to the conclusion that it's mike singing from the fact that lupe doesn't sing. :D

    this song (esp. the beat) reminds me a lot of "spraypaint & inkpens". or it might be lupe. or both... ;)

    anyway, can anyone transcribe lyrics for the chorus, if anything at all?

    Its an alright song, i dont think that mike brings much to the song though...you cant really distinguish his voice

    the beat is really good...i love the synth in the intro and chorus especially...

    EDIT: regarding the lyrics, i have come to the conclusion (after listening to it...5 or 6 times) that the whole song is about a box ...[?!]

    Mike DID produce this song.

    It's a shame that this song may never see an official release. Since Food & Liquor leaked, Lupe just may start all over. :(

    EDIT: I was gonna post this news about a week ago, but I didn't think you guys would put up a link.
