has anyone heard of this band? I've only heard one of their songs called "I'm So Sick" it's awesome but the lead singer does a sucking sound with her voice when she says words with sh like she's wearing a retainer or something. other than that they kick ass, I heard they are christian anyone know anything else about them?
I personally can't stand them. Her vocals are irritating IMO. And then when I found out they were christain, my dislike for them grew even more.
Flyleaf is such a terrible band. I can't stand the vocals at all. The vocalist dresses just like Amy Lee used to (with the shredded skirts and whatnot).
I'll check that 'Cassie' song out. And I won't base any part of my opinion on what the singer wears or what religion they are. ...Don't hurt me.
"I'm So Sick" is pretty good. I don't really care for the rest of the album, though. For some reason, the vocalist voice reminds me of Avril somehow.
Yeah, I couldn't care less if they're christian or not, or if the lead singer wears the same style clothes as someone else. With that said, I don't rate them too high, I agree that her voice can be kind of irritating. Nothing great really.
Yup. And she's been dressing like that for a long time anyways. If they want to be a Christian band, so what? It's their choice. No one belittles other people here for being atheist, why belittle them for being what they are? Anyways, they're decent. Not one of my favorite acts, but I can stand listening to them.
They can be a christian band, that's fine. I just don't want religion in my music and will not listen to any christian band even if their music is good or not.
that's a little closed minded don't ya think? why not listen to christian bands? it's not like they're saying you have to be christian to listen to their music and they're not forcing you to believe in god, it's just good music.
No, it's not closed minded at all. I just have strong anti-religion beliefs and refuse to listen to anything that preaches to me.
I have their cd. I only listened to it once and then never listened to it again. I guess it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Oh well.
I don't listen to Lennon, and SOAD's music is political, not religious, and I believe with their political views, so its all good.
You can listen to it here... http://flyleafonline.com/ They have an online radio with extra/bside songs that the band have done over the years And back on topic, Ive got the album and love it. I also saw them support Staind back in march they are very energetic/hyper on stage tho the lead singer does have trouble reaching the high notes when singing, wasnt to bad at screaming either
