ive had this song for about 2 years now its a different version of in the end with alternate lyrics. and i cant for the life of me find it on any of linkin parks alblums or web sites i am at my wits end here if anyone can tell me what cd this is on or at what concert this was sung i would be extreemly gratefull.

    the lyrics are as follows:
it starts with one and multiplies till you can taste the sun
and get burnt by the sky you try to take it from
but if it falls thers no place to run crumbling down
its so unreeal there dealing you in to determine your end and
sending you back again to places youve been and bending
your will till it breaks you within and still they close their eyes
to the twilight through the skylight and the highlights on a frame
of steel see the brightness of your likeness as i write this on the pad
the way i feel hear the screaming in my dreaming as it seeming that youve
played your part let your heartless take apart this in the darkness
    beacause i know that ive
trid so hard and got so far but in the end it doesnt even matter i had to fall
to lose it all but in the end it doesn even matter
i look down the line and whats there is not what ought to be held back by the battles you faught for me calling me to be part of your property
and i see that i get no chance i get no break fakes and snakes quickly
lead to mistakes and as the tightrope within slowly starts to thin i can only
hope that they close their eyes to the twilight through the skylight and the highlights on a frame of steel see the brightness of your likeness
as i write this on the pad the way i feel see the screaming in my dreaming as it seeming that you played your part let your heartless take apart this in the darkness and i know that i
tried so hard and got so far but in the end it doesnt even matter
i had to fall to lose it all but in the end it doesnt even matter
i put my trust in you pushed as far as i can go for all this theres only one thing you should know i
tried so hard and got so far but in the end it doesnt even matter
i had to fall to lose it all but in the end it doesnt even matter

It's called "Untitled" and appears on the Linkin Park Demo tape (I think). It's a demo of In "The End." I don't think it was ever available to the public, but I could be wrong.

I kinda actually prefer the demo lyrics. They're somewhat deeper and just have a richer choice of words. Although the lyrics they ended up with are still great.

Well, the 9-track demo cd itself was not available to the public, but the songs did leak on to the internet. It's in our discography.

upon closer reflection on the lyrics of "the untitled", you'll see it doesn't make much sense. :D

"Eyes with the twilight, through the skylight
And the highlights on a frame of steel
See the brightness of your likeness as I write
This on a pad with the way I"

    what the hell is that?

that and the last 8 lines of each verse are virtually the same.

a real good thing i like about this demo, though, is the harmony in the vocals. especially noticable during the bridge. ;)

EDIT: and no, "the untitled" was never released to the public; it was only ever put out through the old "hybrid theory" samplers - before they went big and put out "hybrid theory".
